Noise at the Reliever Airports
St. Paul Downtown
Pilot Information
Attention Pilots!
When departing St. Paul Downtown Airport on runways 31 and 32 pilots should, when possible without conflicting with instructions from Air Traffic Control or normal traffic pattern procedures, avoid unnecessary early departure turns over noise sensitive areas. The noise abatement plan for Holman Field attempts to utilize the most compatible land uses for dispersing overflights in an effort to lessen noise impacts to sensitive areas, such as the residential bluff area adjacent to the northeast boundary of the airport.
All pilots are familiar with the responsibility they accept when operating an aircraft. While safety is always the first concern, pilots must also remember to conduct operations in a neighborly manner to avoid the implementation of restrictions. So be a good neighbor. Respect those who live in close proximity to our airport facilities by flying quietly.
